Like many other Chicago parents, you have questions about which school is right for your child. Our year-long series will give you the answers you seek about your Chicago school options. We have invited experienced parents, school choice experts, and 
school representatives to participate in lively and informative sessions about the process of selecting a school. During 2012, we will dive deep into Chicago Public Schools options while also exploring private and parochial schools.

If these are questions that you have ever asked yourself or other parents, then we have the answers for you. In this workshop, we will explore all of the things that you need to know about preparing yourself and your child for Kindergarten in the city of Chicago. We will also explore the various philosophies of preschools and how that choice can affect your child's ability to gain admission into kindergarten. We will cover the basics of the different types of public and private schools, their admissions and testing policies, and what you can do now to prepare your child.
